Slide Surf Skates are the culmination of decades committed to surfing and skating, in three cultures, on three continents. Each with clear goals, highlighted by the singular aim of producing the very best surf skateboard.

Sancheski manufactured one of the very first European made skateboards in 1966. Production techniques pioneered in snow and ski manufacture provided the platform for skateboard deck development. (PHOTO skateboard 1st prototype). Collaboration with Jack Hu and the evolution of Slide began in the early 2000s. In combining truck design and engineering, deck shapes and graphics, ‘Slide by Sancheski’ presented from 2015 on.

Jack Hu: 
“Since I started surfing, I have practiced hard, maintaining and building my surfing skills. When away from the surf, and when there were no waves, I skated, for practice, but, the skateboards available just did not have a surfing feel. In 2008, I started the development of the Slide surf truck. After years of testing, and multiple improvements, we are now able to present the Slide 3.5 front truck and our dedicated rear truck exclusive to Slide SurfSkates. Slide: creating skateboarding that feels like real surfing, on land! For the thrill of riding a wave”.

Hot Buttered began the search for a skateboard, to provide a true feeling of surfing, with a home- grown vertical pin truck, ceramically moulded back in 1987-88. Deck development, and truck engineering have been the key to creating that surfing feeling on wheels. HB became a proud member of the Slide family some ten years ago, and remains committed to the ongoing development of the very best surf skateboard to simulate the surfing experience.
